Second Annual Cory Holly Classic Meet Summary
Thanks very much to all athletes, staff, volunteers, coaches, officials and spectators for helping make this event a success. Three new records were set, Kian Zabihi (MB) in hammer (64.43m) and Mike Deady (M65) in discus (46.10m) and shot (12.54m). Hammer and discus were both Canadian Records. Shot was BC.
Many competitors achieved PB's in spite of the smoke. I personally was impressed by many outstanding performances. Thankfully, the weather did hold out and actually began to clear as the meet went on. Event times were pretty much on time. Our predicted time of completion was 3:00 pm. The last shot was 'put' as a wrap-up for the meet at 2:57 pm.
