Dr. Carolyn Dean is a medical doctor, naturopath, herbalist, acupuncturist, nutritionist, lecturer, consultant and author. Dr. Dean graduated from Dalhousie Medical School in 1978, holds a medical license in California and is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, where she served on the board of Governors for six years.
Dr. Dean has been in the forefront of health issues for over 30 years. She has authored or coauthored over thirty books, makes regular TV and radio appearances and is the Medical Director for the Nutritional Magnesium Association. Dr. Dean conducts a busy Telephone Wellness Consulting practice assisting individuals with all types of illness at any stage or degree of severity. She lives in Hawaii on the island of Maui with her husband, where she enjoys swimming, snorkeling and spending time at the beach and outdoors.
