Competing at the recent Commonwealth Games in Manchester, Nick dominated his division and took the Gold Medal. He is a 3-time Canadian Interuniversity Athletic Union National Champion wrestler, attending Brock University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
Nick is Canada's National champion and was the Olympic trials champion in the 76kg weight class. Nick is training towards his next long-term goal of competing in the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece in 2004.
Nick grew up in Nigeria, and moved to British Columbia when he was ten. He first started competing in wrestling when he was in Grade 12. Nick is a proven world-class wrestler by his consistent placing at some of the major grand prix circuit tournaments: the German Grand Prix, Cerro Pelado in Cuba, the Canada Cup and the Egyptian Cup.
Nick encourages others to follow their goals and dreams. He holds the following quote as words to live by. "If a man advances confidently in the direction of his dreams he will be met with a success unimagined in common hours."
Aside from wrestling, Nick helps people achieve balanceᅠand fulfillment in their personal lives through his personal fitness training and lifestyle consulting business in Vancouver. When asked what "success" means to him, he responds, "Making total commitment to achieving my goals."
