Vernon Triple Throws Challenge 2017


Date: Saturday August 19th 2017 Vernon BC.

Discus Throw Time: 4:00 pm
Javelin Throw Time: 5:00 pm
Hammer Throw Time: 6:00 pm

  • Open Hammer, Javelin & Discus Only Competition (International, Ages 12 and Up Including Masters (Male/Female)
  • Each thrower will be given 6 (six) attempts during the competition
  • Competition medals, gold, silver and bronze with customized logo
  • All throwers will be age graded and scored according to BC Athletics standards
  • Throwing commences from youngest to the oldest
  • This is an open event. International throwers welcome!

Meet Our Management Team

Meet Director


Cory Holly is the President and Founder of the Cory Holly Institute. In business he operates an online school as a naturopath that teaches the virtue of optimum health and how to achieve it through nutrition and exercise. Cory is a Grandmaster natural bodybuilding champion and competitive Masters hammer thrower. He is a father to three and a grandfather to four.

Assistant Meet Director


Tracy Holly is the Executive Director of the Cory Holly Institute. She is a whole food cook and the author of The Athlete's Cookbook. Tracy teaches Latin & Ballroom dancing and manages a Bollywood Troupe in Vernon. She loves her grandchildren and encourages all kids to be active and fit.

Meet Officer


Hedley Larsen is an insurance agent with Capri Insurance. He is the Throws coach with the Vernon AAA Track club and is also a competitive Masters Discus and Shot put thrower. Hedley loves coaching and being involved with track and field. He is a proud father of three.

Meet Officer

Attila Torok is a born and raised Hungarian hammer thrower who was privileged to train and compete with some of the best throwers in the world for 10 years. Master coach Pál Németh helped Attila achieve several national champion titles at an early age. Attila's hammer training ended at age 18 due to mandatory military service, but his passion for the hammer was fused into his heart forever. Today Attila throws for fun, but he plans to get back to competition and help others improve their technique/distance.
